Fair-print, not fine-print
Does the free trial need a credit card?
No. The 14-day trial has every feature and room for up to 10 people, and collects no payment method. When it ends without a purchase, the organisation simply goes read-only; nothing is charged because we have nothing to charge.
What happens if we stop paying?
Read-only. Your team can still sign in, read, copy, and export everything, and administrators can still recover forgotten master passwords. Write access returns the moment payment does. Deleting customer data over a lapsed card is a trust-ending move for a product like this, so the design rules it out.
Why is there no security difference between tiers?
Because every feature in Keyvaci is a security feature, and tiered security means the cheaper tier is deliberately less safe. The clients count as features here too: charging extra for the browser extension or the mobile app would price people out of the very tools that stop them pasting passwords into chat. The two tiers differ in one operational limit, how many vaults a member can access, never in protection.
How are seats counted, exactly?
A seat is a member or an open invitation, on one tier. You buy Standard and Premium seats separately and pay only for what you hold. Adding a seat mid-cycle is prorated from that day; removing one lowers the next invoice. You never pre-buy seat packs or pay for empty chairs.
Can I mix tiers in one organisation?
Yes. Tiers are per member, not per organisation. A typical setup is Premium for administrators and Standard for everyone else, and any member can be moved between tiers from the Members page. Moving someone to Premium needs a free Premium seat; moving someone to Standard is refused while they still have access to more than two vaults.
What counts as a vault for the 2-vault limit?
Every vault a Standard member can open, whether they created it or it was shared with them, and whatever their role in it. Entries inside a vault are unlimited. If a Standard member is at two vaults, creating a third or being granted a third is refused until an administrator moves them to Premium or they leave one.
Can we pay by invoice and bank transfer?
Yes. Write to us through the contact form or at contact@keyvaci.com with your organisation ID and how many Standard and Premium seats you want, and we issue an invoice for direct bank transfer. The licence is activated once the payment is confirmed, and renewal reminders arrive by email before each due date.
